SMCA & CPRSMT PartnershipEstablished in 1983, CPRSMT has grown into a team of more than 60 sport medicine practitioners who provide care and support to rodeo athletes. Their work includes pre-event preparation and treatment, on-site injury assessment and acute injury response, concussion recognition and management, injury prevention, post-event care, education, and coordination with other health care professionals. This work closely aligns with SMCA’s commitment to advancing safe and healthy participation in sport and physical activity. SMCA supports Alberta’s sport community by improving access to practical sport medicine education and resources. Through this partnership, SMCA can extend that impact by supporting CPRSMT’s work to protect athlete health and safety within rodeo and western sport. |
